The love between a man and his pet is immeasurable.

James Xuereb is a man from Ontario, Canada who was in a deep depression. His wife thought that having a pet would help elevate his mood, and for the most part, it did. They got a Bichon Frise pup named Nemo, and two years later, another Bichon Frise named Lucy. They were both an incredibly vital part of Xuereb’s life.

However, they’re only dogs, and they have a certain life span.

After a long and healthy life, they both died and the man became severely depressed once again. His daughters didn’t know what to do to cheer him up, until they had an idea. They scrounged together the resources they needed, and gave their father an envelope.

They told him they had a surprise for him, but they’ll give it to him only after he reads the letter out loud on camera.

He tried his best, but the emotion got the better of him. He choked up, and his daughters finished the letter for him.

“Hi, my name is Lumo. I am a boy Bichon. No, I am not Nemo, nor could I ever be Lucy. My mommy bought me to bring some happiness back into your life. So as we walk on this journey of life together may we create our own wonderful memories and rekindle the beautiful memories that you had with Nemo and Lucy. Love Lumo!”

Lumo is the mushed up name from Lucy and Nemo!
