Gentle, affectionate and adaptable, the Cavalier is one of the best companion breeds — happy in a flat or a farmhouse as long as it’s with you. They love everyone, which makes them poor guard dogs and prone to separation distress. A daily walk plus cuddles is about right; brush a few times a week.
