Tollers are intense, athletic problem-solvers that need a lot of exercise AND mental work — agility, retrieving, swimming, training games. Bored, they get noisy and inventive. They bond closely, can be reserved with strangers, and are famous for the ear-splitting ‘Toller scream’ when excited. The water-repellent coat sheds and needs regular brushing. A brilliant dog for a dedicated, active owner.
