Weimaraners are powerful, high-drive gundogs that need a job, an hour-plus of hard exercise and consistent training from day one. They bond fiercely and are notorious for separation anxiety and destructiveness when left bored or alone. The short coat offers little warmth, and the deep chest means bloat precautions at mealtimes. A lot of dog for an experienced, active owner.
