The Cane Corso is a powerful working guardian that bonds closely and is calm and affectionate at home, but its size, drive and protectiveness demand an experienced owner committed to early socialisation, training and clear leadership. It needs daily exercise and mental work and is aloof, even wary, with strangers. In the right hands a devoted, dignified companion; in the wrong hands, too much dog.
