Giant Schnauzers are highly intelligent, high-drive guardians used in police and protection work — they need serious daily exercise, structured training and a job, plus confident leadership and early socialisation. Without enough work they become bored, dominant and destructive. The low-shedding coat needs regular grooming. Devoted and protective, they’re outstanding for an experienced, active owner and overwhelming for a casual one.
