Pembroke Welsh Corgi

Beneath the famous short legs is a real herding dog: bright, bold and far more athletic than it looks. Pembrokes need 45-60 minutes of activity a day plus mental work — they learn fast and get into mischief if bored. The double coat sheds heavily, especially twice a year, so brush a few times a week. Their biggest health enemy is the dinner bowl: corgis pile on weight easily, and extra pounds are brutal on a long spine, so keep them lean and limit stairs and big jumps.
