Bred purely to be a companion, the Shih Tzu is sweet, sociable and content in a flat or a mansion. Their flowing low-shedding coat is gorgeous but demanding — daily brushing or a regular short clip. As a flat-faced breed they need care in heat and benefit from a harness over a collar.
