Akita

Akitas are deeply loyal one-family dogs with a strong guarding instinct and a famously low tolerance for other dogs, especially same-sex. They’re clean, quiet and cat-like, needing moderate exercise but serious, early socialisation and confident, respectful training. The thick coat blows heavily twice a year. Best for an experienced owner who understands and respects a strong-willed guardian.
